Missing Toolkit: Templates integrates with QuickBooks Online to pull your accounting data into custom Word documents.

Connecting

  1. Go to Team > Integrations
  2. Click the Connect to QuickBooks button
  3. Sign in to your Intuit account if prompted
  4. Authorize Missing Toolkit: Templates to access your QuickBooks data
  5. You'll be redirected back with a "Connected" status showing your company name

Missing Toolkit: Templates requests read-only access to your QuickBooks data. It does not modify, create, or delete any records in your QuickBooks account.

Supported entity types

Invoices

Browse and generate documents from your QuickBooks invoices. Available fields include invoice number, dates, amounts, customer information, billing/shipping addresses, and line items.

Estimates

Browse and generate documents from your QuickBooks estimates. Available fields include estimate number, dates, status, amounts, customer information, and line items.

Searching entities

When browsing invoices or estimates, you can filter by:

  • Customer name — partial match search (e.g., "Paul" matches "Paulson")
  • Document number — exact match
  • Date range — from and/or to date

Results are paginated at 25 per page, sorted by date with the most recent first.

Disconnecting

To disconnect QuickBooks:

  1. Go to Team > Integrations
  2. Click Disconnect next to your QuickBooks connection
  3. Confirm in the dialog

Disconnecting revokes Missing Toolkit: Templates's access to your QuickBooks data. Your templates, mappings, and previously generated documents are preserved — you just won't be able to generate new documents until you reconnect.

Token management

Missing Toolkit: Templates automatically refreshes your QuickBooks access token as needed. If your connection expires (e.g., due to a password change on your Intuit account), you'll need to reconnect by going through the authorization flow again.

Data privacy

  • Missing Toolkit: Templates only reads data from QuickBooks — it never writes, updates, or deletes anything
  • Tokens are stored encrypted in our database
  • Data is fetched on-demand when you browse entities or generate documents — we do not sync or store your QuickBooks data
